The Sunnybank RSL Sub-Branch Inc was formed on 14 August 1945.

Almost immediately, the Sub Branch commenced work to raise funds for the current RSL Soldier’s Memorial Hall. Since its construction in the early 1960s the Hall has been home for the many activities undertaken by the Sub Branch. It has also been available for use by the many local community groups that have utilized it over the years. The facilities had a major makeover in 2007 and 2008.

The Sub Branch facilities provide a range of activities and services required to support the ex-service and serving member communities and their families. It also provides a Community Drop In and Support Centre. The Sunnybank RSL works with the Sunnybank Red Cross and the Macgregor Lions Club and other interested organisations to expand the services offered.
