The RSL Defence Servicewomen’s Sub Branch was formed in Brisbane in 1946 by returned servicewomen who had served in WWII. The Sub Branch has supported the needs of servicewomen throughout its history. It proudly participates in a range of commemorative events.

By 2004, the Sub Branch membership had declined significantly. Through a partnership with the Council of Ex-Servicewomen’s Association QLD, membership numbers increased and the Sub Branch was saved. The  RSL Defence Servicewomen’s Sub Branch is once again a vibrant group that continues to meet the needs of serving and ex-serving women.
