The Hellenic RSL Sub-Branch was formed in April 1987, with its Women’s Auxiliary being formed in August 1987.

Hellenic Sub Branch is an integral part of Brisbane’s Greek community and proudly contributes to a range of community activities and school education initiatives. Hellenic was instrumental in the development of the ‘Australia Remembers’ Memorial in the courtyard of the St George Greek Orthodox Church in South Brisbane. They have also contributed to the erection of three other Memorials (two in Brisbane and one on the Gold Coast).

Hellenic Sub Branch is active in commemorative events on ANZAC Day, VE Day, Remembrance Day and Greek National Day to name a few. The Sub Branch and the Greek community have also actively contributed financially with donations towards those impacted by a number of natural disasters around Australia in recent years.
